Karni Mata temple - Deshnoke (India) from Samuel Maurin on Vimeo.

According to a local legend, Karni Mata, the 14th century mystic and an incarnation of Hindu goddess Durga, implored Yama, the god of death, to restore the life of the son of one of her storyteller. Yama refused, and Karni Mata incarnated the dead son and all of the storytellers as a rat, under her protection. [source : Wikipedia]

102 year old lens on 5D mkII - Video Footage by Timur Civan

102 year old lens on 5D mkII - Video Footage by Timur Civan from Timur Civan on Vimeo.

Some moving real world images from the 1908 Wollensak Cine-Velostigmat f5 lens.

This is a mix of natural lighting, cine style lighting, hand held, the Kessler Pocket dolley and tripod work. Much of this was shot to see what this lens can do in real conditions, and where its strengths and weaknesses are. What it adds, what it loses is in my opinion what makes this glass unique. This motion test is a precursor to an upcoming film project. enjoy....

Special thanks to Kessler for proving equipment support, Bhavani lee for being an amazing performer, Thomas wong for editing the hell out of this, and to Khalid Mohtaseb for providing me with additional equipment.

Chiemgau impressions by Mario Feil

Chiemgau impressions from Mario Feil on Vimeo.

while doing my current backups, I found lots of footage from last year I didn't use yet. Planned to use it as stock footage for filling gaps in some videos.

filmed between June and October.
actually, I finished it 4 months ago but never put it on vimeo. totally forgot it.

slides (real time and timelapse) were done with the Kesslercrane Cineslider (Oracle Controller, Electra drive)

Music by Nouvelle Vague - Killing Moon
enjoy

thx to
Andi G. (co-shooter)
Franzi (my girlfriend who waited a dozen times patiently until the timelapse was done)

UPDATE:
for all the tech geeks: I think I used all of my gear, no matter which lens or camera. The Moon at the end was captured with the Sony EX1 for example.
most shots were filmed with Canon 7D, 5D, 1D and different lenses

UPDATE:
just to clarify: "Chiemgau" is the region I live. It's between Munich and Salzburg in the very south of Bavaria. the shots were done in and around the "Chiemgau". I once wanted to create a 100% Chiemgau-Vid but didn't have the time to complete it. Maybe that is why I didn't upload it earlier...

in the end, it's still my home region :)

First real outdoor Jib Arm Test on our KesslerCrane Gear by T-Recs (Timelapse Recordings)

First real outdoor Jib Arm Test on our KesslerCrane Gear from T-Recs (Timelapse Recordings) on Vimeo.

this is a small testrun we´ve made with our new little self made jib arm to use it for some crane shots in future productions.

we´ve tested how smooth the moves are in real outdoor situations in use with the kesslercrane cineslider, revolution head and the oracle controller for real time motion control shots. the first test with the jib arm runs out great. we tried to build the jib arm as lightweight as we could to being able to use the jib arm with the revolution head. we´re limited in some movements but for some things it´s great. at this time we´re also limited to use this jib arm for timelapse. there is a little bit more "thinking work" on this. but we´re working on to make it work in the future.

Location: Dresden / Germany
a little BTS clip twitvid.com/TX99O

tools we have used:

Canon EOS 7D
Canon EF-S 15-85mm

Nikon Coolpix P7000 (first bts timelapse sequence)

Total of 3000 photos were taken and individually touched up on the PC.
For post production I used Lightroom 3 with a slide show export for full HD clips and video editing software, Magix Video Deluxe 17.

Impressions reopening of the Technical Museum in Dresden by T-Recs (Timelapse Recordings)

Impressions reopening of the Technical Museum in Dresden from T-Recs (Timelapse Recordings) on Vimeo.

this is a short overview of the reopening event from the technical museum in dresden. we also had a booth there, on which we have presented our timelapse gear we´ve got from kessler crane. many people visited the event and we had some great conversations. the event was totally awesome.

some facts about the museum:

Technische Sammlungen Dresden“ (Technical Museum Dresden, TSD) is a public museum, which is located in one of the most famous industrial buildings of the last century. Well known companies of photo and movie industry where situated here. Nowadays you can find exhibitions in former production halls that show how the history of photography and media technology, science and high tech got developed and produced for two centuries in Dresden. Special exhibitions are showing contemporary photography , themes of photohistory as well as scientific phenomena. In a unique experimental environment of mathematics and physics you can find out many things by yourself. Young and old get fascinated and regain a sense of wonder. Educational offers of the museum are transmitting knowledge and practical experiences. Educators are accompanying young visitors as they hear, see and experience.
The TSD is more than a museum. Milestones of Movie history are performed on original Ernemann Projektors in the museums cinema.
